Individual Counseling

Anxiety; depression; LGBT-related issues; family or other relationship issues; communication; addiction and substance abuse; seasonal affective disorder; social anxiety; sexual confusion … these are all issues we can work on together.  Whatever your concerns, we will work together to help you meet your therapeutic goals. Individual counseling is an opportunity to focus on you and your particular issues and struggles, in a warm, safe, and welcoming environment. Life is often filled with complexity – twists and turns, both external and internal, that can impact us in unexpected and profound ways. Sometimes we just need a little help, guidance, and support to find our way through the struggles and to find or return to a healthier state of being.

"To look behind or to look upfront is not as important as to look inside.

Couples Counseling

One of the most challenging tasks we take on is sustaining a healthy and happy relationship. If you are feeling stuck, frustrated, and unsure of how to improve your relationship, couples counseling can help. I employ some of the most well-respected and proven methods in relationship counseling, always choosing the components that best meet your needs as a couple. All couples are welcome - including all sexual orientations - and whatever your relationship status or living arrangements. Together, we will work through your issues to find healthier and more productive ways to manage disagreements, let go of suffering, and reconnect to those feelings of love and joy that first brought you together. Give yourselves a chance to revitalize your relationship; to learn new tools that will help you overcome your unhealthy patterns, build new paths to love, and to once again feel hope.

"Love one another and you will be happy. It is as simple and as difficult as that."                                                                             Michael Leunig

About Sessions

Everyone's experience is unique to them. Your issues and needs are what matters. We set the agenda for therapy together. And that agenda is fluid. I view psychotherapy as an organic experience, always attending to the moment, while also always considering the larger goals and objectives. Our first session is an opportunity to discuss those goals, along with your concerns and hopes for therapy.

You're here, so that means you've already started the process of healing. Let's meet and talk about how to best move forward from here.
